RentSmart Educator (Train the Trainer) is a three-day professional development course.

No, RentSmart Educators are only allowed to teach RentSmart Certificate or RentSmart Basics courses to renters.
Rent Smart Education and Support Society (RSESS) and its partners hope everyone who registers for the training will be able to attend; however, RSESS knows extenuating circumstances do occur. As a charity, we have limited financial resources and are highly impacted by cancelled registrations. The RSESS Cancellation and Refund Policy is as follows to assure consistency and is applicable to all RentSmart Educator trainings and other paid events organized by RSESS:
- Training course registrations will not be confirmed until registration is complete, payment processed and billing information is received in full.
- In order to cancel a confirmed registration or reschedule for a future date, please submit an email request to info@rentsmarteducation.org.
- Registration fees may be transferred to another individual within your organization, but you must notify RSESS via email to info@rentsmarteducation.org no less than 3 business days before the training.

You can substitute a co-worker if you will not be able to attend, however, we require advanced notice to complete this change as we will be providing you with a unique account to access all the resources needed for this training and course resources afterwards. You will not be permitted to attend the course if sufficient notice is not provided —no refund and no credit.
- RSESS reserves the right to cancel any training course due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances* at least 10 calendar days in advance of the scheduled course date. Notice will be provided with the option to reschedule for a future course date or to receive a full refund of registration fees.

Yes!
It is ideal to take the course within your own province if offered, as the course entails learning provincially specific legislative content. If it's not possible for you to take the course within your province either due to available dates or because it's not currently offered in your area we will do our best to accommodate your needs and provide relevant resources, where available.
When you purchase a RentSmart Educator course seat, the registrant will receive a 3 day virtual training facilitated by our RentSmart Master Trainer(s). During the 3 days, participants will learn the RentSmart Programs (Basics and Certificate Courses) content, adult- learning principles, practice facilitating course content, and have access to the digital and printable RentSmart Educator Curriculum.
Please note the RentSmart Educator training course does not include your organization's Annual RentSmart Subscription. To learn more about RentSmart Subscriptions please visit our Subscriptions Page.
